Find or download your ESIC e-Pehchan card
Choose the situation that fits. This guide points you to ESIC's current member route and explains what to check without asking you to enter personal or account details.
This is an information tool, not advice. It performs the arithmetic and the screening you see below on the information you give it. It does not decide whether a position is lawful, compliant or correct, it is not a substitute for professional advice, and GHR assumes no duty of care to you in respect of it.
What do you need help with?
Choose a route. Do not enter your insurance number, Aadhaar, OTP or password here.
Keep the insured-person number separate from the employer code
The e-Pehchan card identifies an insured person in ESIC's records. The employer code identifies the establishment. If you move jobs, give the new employer your existing insured-person details and ask them to link the employment correctly.
Do not post your insurance number or card image in a public forum. If you are uncertain which number you have, ask HR or check an official ESIC record.
If the card information is wrong
Ask the employer to check the underlying insured-person record and use the current correction route. Keep the request and acknowledgement until the record is updated. A second insurance record can make an existing mismatch harder to resolve.
For a broader ESIC record issue, see our e-Pehchan guide and use the official ESIC contact route.
Questions people actually ask
- How do I download my ESIC e-Pehchan card?
- ESIC's January 2026 Health Connect manual shows an insured-person route through IP Details, selecting the relevant employer code where needed, then Download e-Pehchan Card. If the account or option is unavailable, ask your employer or ESIC branch for help.
- Is the employer code the same as my ESIC insurance number?
- No. The employer code identifies the establishment; the insured-person record identifies the employee. If you change jobs, ask the new employer to use your existing insured-person record rather than creating a duplicate.
- Can this tool find my IP number?
- No. It does not collect or look up personal records. Check the official ESIC account, Health Connect, employer records or ESIC branch, and do not share credentials or OTPs with an unofficial lookup service.
- What if I cannot find the insurance number?
- Check an existing e-Pehchan card, your Health Connect account or employer records. If those do not show it, ask the employer or ESIC branch to verify the existing member record instead of creating a duplicate.
- Does an e-Pehchan card guarantee a cash benefit or hospital admission?
- No. It helps identify the insured person. Benefit eligibility, treatment access, referrals and claim acceptance depend on the ESIC record and the applicable rules.
- How do I correct a wrong name or family detail?
- Ask the employer or ESIC branch for the current correction route and keep the acknowledgement. This assistant does not change ESIC records or collect identity documents.
