ESIC Dispensaries in Kerala: Find Yours

Reviewed 16 October 2026. An ESIC dispensary is one of the routes through which an insured person and eligible family members may access medical benefit. The assigned facility, services available, referral route and family eligibility depend on ESIC records and the applicable State or Corporation arrangements. Check your current e-Pehchan or Insurance Number record and confirm the facility before travelling.

How to find the facility linked to your ESIC record

  1. Use ESIC’s current insured-person services to check your Insurance Number, family details and assigned medical facility.
  2. Use the official ESIC site or its Kerala regional pages to confirm the dispensary address and contact information. Facility locations and services can change; do not rely on an old district list or map screenshot.
  3. Call the facility or the appropriate ESIC office before a non-urgent visit to confirm its hours, availability and whether your case requires referral.
  4. Carry your e-Pehchan details or Insurance Number and any relevant prescriptions or records. Ask the facility which additional documents are required for a dependent or a specific service.

Services and referrals

The type and scale of medical benefit are determined under the applicable ESIC and State arrangements. A dispensary may provide primary care or arrange referral, but the services available at a particular site should be confirmed directly. Specialist care, diagnostics, medicines and treatment at an empanelled hospital may require a referral or prior authorization. Do not assume that every service is available at every facility or that treatment at any private hospital will be cashless.

For a medical emergency, seek urgent care at the nearest appropriate facility. Contact ESIC as soon as practical and ask what reporting, referral or reimbursement rules apply. Do not delay emergency treatment while trying to obtain a routine referral.

For an employer helping an employee

  • Check that the employee’s Insurance Number and family particulars are correctly linked.
  • Use the current ESIC portal to update or correct records; do not create a duplicate Insurance Number to fix a mismatch.
  • Share the official ESIC and Kerala regional contact routes rather than promising a particular clinic, medicine or cashless service.
  • Protect the employee’s medical details and share them only with people who need them for the claim or care process.
